IFM 2024: our system for heavy ring rolling mills
At the International Forgemasters Meeting 2024 in Milan, organised by AIM – Italian Metallurgy Association, we presented paper IFM_036 “Development of an integrated and advanced Heavy Rings Production Management System and Process Control System”, written together with Forgiatura A. Vienna of GIVA Group and with Tech in Sider.
It is the production management and process control system we built for the Forgiatura A. Vienna ring rolling mill in Rho (Milan), one of the largest in the world: rings and shells up to 10.4 metres in diameter and 5 metres in height, calculated rolling curves, recipes from similar parts and full traceability.
